I was incredibly fortunate to be able to spend my afternoon today with CenturyLink and the Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs as they helped connect underserved youth by donating new computers, software, studio equipment, iPad Minis and other upgraded equipment to Pillsbury United Communities.
CenturyLink has had a long relationship with the Minnesota Vikings and they provide all of the technology for the new, state-of-the-art US Bank Stadium. I always knew that CenturyLink could hook up homes and businesses, but I didn't know about the community service work until today.
These KIDS! I have to tell you that these kids are amazing. Can you imagine their excitement over meeting one of their biggest role models - Stefon Diggs?
Take all of that excitement and then DOUBLE IT! It was amazing when they were taken upstairs and shown the biggest surprise of all - a new STEM tech center with robotics station and an awesome 3-D printing station.
In the room across the hall, they found a brand new, state-of-the-art music recording studio, including a digital drum set that was a big hit!
And yet another room contained camcorders, microphones, monitors and other studio focused equipment to Pillsbury United's PBS Newslab, creating a fully functioning, professional-caliber video production studio!
It's absolutely overwhelming to think of these kids and the way that their lives were changed today by the generosity of CenturyLink and the Minnesota Vikings. It really helped get me in the right spirit for the upcoming holiday season!
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of CenturyLink. The opinions and text are all mine.
