DIY Homemade Skin Conditioning Wipes // Natural Skincare
The weather is incredible here in Minneapolis right now and I can't keep myself indoors! I've been outside for hours every day. So good! But I've really been noticing the effects of months of frosty, dry weather on my skin. My face is breaking out a bit right now, (too much sugar?) but has dry, flaky patches, too. It's time for me to switch up my routine a bit and make sure that I'm taking a bit better care of things!
I got to work creating a lovely skin conditioning wipe that cleans your skin, moisturizes your skin, and feels refreshing without drying. Not only are they wonderful for your skin, but they are super easy to make.
1/4 c. Witch Hazel
1 Tbsp. Fractionated Coconut Oil
1 Tbsp. Aloe Vera Gel
10 drops Tea Tree Oil
10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
10 drops Orange Essential Oil
Airtight Jar or Container
Large Cotton Balls or Rounds
Combine all of the liquid ingredients in the jar and shake to mix well. Add cotton rounds and make sure that all of them are soaked through.
You can easily customize the ingredients for your skin care needs. If you want brighter skin, add some Vitamin C Crystals with the liquid ingredients and shake till completely dissolved. For skin conditions like acne or rashes, add 20 drops of Heliocrysum Essential Oil to support healing.
To use, just swipe one cotton ball or round over your face each morning when you wake up and each evening before bed. Use before applying moisturizers and serums.
For travel, simply remove enough cotton rounds to last your whole trip and slip them into a snack sized ziploc bag.
