DIY Fizzy Cleaning Bombs // Organic Home

I love a good DIY... especially when it comes to making my own natural cleaning products. When I came across this awesome DIY at Garden Therapy, I knew I had to share! These fizzy cleaning bombs are an effective and safe way to quickly and easily clean up toilets, drains, and garbage disposals. Just pop one of these babies in the drain and it will fizz away any grease, buildup, and stinky odors that may be lingering. They contain all-natural ingredients so you don’t need to worry about coming into contact with harsh chemicals that most store-bought household cleaners contain, and they are packaging-free which means no environmentally damaging waste. Oh, and did I mention how much FUN these are to use?

Celebrating Autumn with Cook Yourself Happy: The Danish Way by Caroline Fleming

It's September 22nd. Where has the summer gone? Even though it DEFINITELY still feels like summer here in Minneapolis today, my thoughts are turning to autumn and I'm noticing that my body is already craving something different than the grilled foods and salads that we've been enjoying.

And so I found myself searching for some new recipes, which is how I came across Cook Yourself Happy: The Danish Way by Caroline Fleming. I'm a huge fan of the Danish way of life called hygge, a sort of coziness, (You can read more about it in my post Keep Warmth In Your Heart) so I was immediately drawn to this title.

Is it OK to Want A Small Life?

"What if All I Want is A Mediocre Life?"

It's the headline that caught my attention and made me click through to read more. A blog post from a hear and a half ago that just came across my radar, written by Krista at "A Life in Progress" where she asks:
"What if I all I want is a small, slow, simple life? ... What if I am mediocre and choose to be at peace with that?"

It's definitely a MUST READ and you can check it out by clicking here.

Support MS Focus // Helping People with MS Find Better Days

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Multiple Sclerosis Foundation for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was shocked to learn that MS, or Multiple Sclerosis, is on the rise and that it is affecting more people in the 20-40 year old age group. Whenever I am made aware of that sort of information, it becomes personal to me. My oldest son is in his 20's and I am thankful every day that my boys have healthy and strong bodies. I'm also aware that life can change in an instant and MS is one of those things that has no known cause or cure.

DIY Homemade Skin Conditioning Wipes // Natural Skincare

The weather is incredible here in Minneapolis right now and I can't keep myself indoors! I've been outside for hours every day. So good! But I've really been noticing the effects of months of frosty, dry weather on my skin. My face is breaking out a bit right now, (too much sugar?) but has dry, flaky patches, too. It's time for me to switch up my routine a bit and make sure that I'm taking a bit better care of things!

I got to work creating a lovely skin conditioning wipe that cleans your skin, moisturizes your skin, and feels refreshing without drying. Not only are they wonderful for your skin, but they are super easy to make.

Avoid Stress Eating with Self-Care {Bright Line Eating Book Review}

In my adult life, I've been a size 2 and a size 12 - and every size in between. It seems the older I get, the less I care about the size of my pants and the more I care about how I FEEL. Lately I've been FEELING stressed. I'm not talking about the kind of stress that takes away my appetite and makes me lose weight - like when I went through my divorce. I'm talking about the kind of stress that makes me want to head for the comfort food.

I know that I'm not alone. In my circle of friends, especially my female friends, I'm hearing the same thing from almost everyone. We are stressed out by constant political posts on Facebook and Twitter. We are afraid of what might be coming down the pipeline. (literally and figuratively) We are worried about losing our rights. We are worrying ourselves sick - and that state of constant worry is starting to have a pretty dramatic impact on our bodies!
